2015 New Member of Year Award

Tara Stevenson, Florida Association of Colleges & Employers

3cX2-fxHWhen  nomination for the FloridaACE New Member of the Year Award were being collected, it was instantaneous who I would take the time to recognize because it was an honor to take the time and write about her.  Stacy Lanigan has spent the past two years serving as co-chair for the Communications and Outreach Committee, working diligently to increase the awareness for FloridaACE through exciting and innovative ways.  Without batting an eyelash, Stacy jumped into the organization and all could see her dedication right off the bat.

Stacy was instrumental in the development of the FloridaACE Facebook page and initiating a weekly blog in place of a quarterly newsletter. She continuously brainstorms new ways to reach constituents and increase the brand and awareness of the organization.

At both the 2014 and 2015 Annual Conferences, Stacy made quiet the impressions on everyone with her social media prowess, documenting the entire week through quotes, pictures, and more. Her enthusiasm for the contests and including more people brought instant success and hopefully marked a future tradition within FloridaACE.

Stacy and I at the Golden Gala – June 18, 2015

Currently, Stacy serves as a Senior Career Counselor with Lynn University in Boca Raton where she meets regularly with students, sometimes 11 appointments in one day! She is an asset to her department and bringing her office to the forefront of Lynn’s campus community.
